What is occlusal equilibration and how to go about the same?
In this video, I explain the 3 fundamental rules of bite adjustment so as to simultaneously achieve orthopedic (skeletal) and orthodontic (dental) stability. Remember, equilibration needs to be performed in static bite and dynamic movements as well. This way all interferences can be eliminated and a friction-free occlusion can be achieved.
I explain these with a patient case so as to help drive the concept better.
Note: These protocols can be used for equilibration on teeth, as well as acrylic temporaries and porcelain in full mouth reconstruction cases.
